Folklife Collection - Prison Folklore

In a series of interviews of local Eastern Shore residents in 1982, Salisbury University students and teachers collected folk life material. For this project, R. Kurt Rosenburg conducted a research on prison folklore. He interviewed one of the guards at the Sussex County state correctional institution in Georgetown, Delaware. The transcript of the tape-recorded interview is included in the paper.
